So basically what NS did was to truncate a load of services at Amsterdam Centraal, filing it up, which meant that all the trains that were trying to get in to Amsterdam are now being held at each station back down the line in an enormous country-wide train jam. And Amsterdam Centraal is a through station, making the situation even worse.
